If you liked the demo you will like the retail version.

Yes purchase it, but dont bother buying the special collectors edition unless you like putting little cute statues on your shelf

Any true gamer would buy the Collector's Edition. Casual fans of gaming would buy the standard release version.

That has to be in the top 10 dumbest things I have ever read on a forum.(pirate)

Yet what I said is so true.
This is the equivalent of buying the widescreen version of a film which any true movie buff would do.

Only nerds who live in their parents basement buy Collector's Editions for all games. "oooo look at me, I have a GOLD septim. Ladeda Ladeda. I'm a nerd. I like to play with plastic money. Ladeda Ladeda."

No its not... Sorry but a person should only buy a collectors set if they believe that its either worth it or if they are a big fan of said game.
Your comment is as dumb as miasomia saying that your not a hardcore gamer unless you got the top of the line gear in your PC.

Nah that only applies to a PS3 and the way that it's just a more expensive version of an Xbox 360. ;)

Well back to the original post. Yes I believe the game is worth a buy. If you have a pretty good PC, I would recommend the PC version, other than that it works pretty well on the 360. Has some easy achievement points too.

Ouch . . . For once though, I would have to semi-agree with you GamerGuy. I have a knack for buying CEs of any game worth buying. I dunno why, but it just feels like the things to do 95% of the time when buying a game.
Now as far as movies go, anyone who buys Full Screen DVDs nowadays are just pathetic and just moronic. :D Don't cha know that format is GOING OUT soon?

Which is fine if CEs offered anything appreciable over the regular editions. I'd go for a CE if it had a t-shirt or something that would actually enhance my gaming experience. For $10 extra, Prey gives you a stinking figurine that probably cost all of $0.50 to make.
Naturally, everyone is free to spend their money as they see fit. More power to you if you buy the CEs. At least as Prey is concerned, I don't think it's worth it.

I remember that I read an interview with the producer of Star Wars: Episode One. He said that when Episode One was released on DVD, people who bought the widescreen edition returned it because they thought there was something wrong with the disc when they saw the black borders over and under the picture. :rofl

Haha. What morons. Speaking of Star Wars . . . www.widescreen.org
I'm glad that with any new DVD format, full screen copies are going bye-bye. Heck, at work, we are seeing less and less full screen DVDs come in on New Releases.

Come back a12ctic! Come back! Who will teach me the ways of teh 1337 L1nucks now that you are gone!?
Prey's Collector's Edition is especially useless because it does not give you any additional content or games like some other CE's do. For instance, the collector's editions of Doom3 for XBOX gave you Doom & Doom2 - now thats a worthy CE! As someone said earlier, this just gives you a couple of statues and a mini art book - no thanks.
This isn't like buying a widescreen movie as a film collector. Its like buying one of those $80 collector's editions that has the same exact DVD as the $25 version except it comes with a framed picture of the film as well as the script in a special box. :)
