Let us know how it goes, a mate of mine also dl what he thought was Longhorn, he sent me a pic of the install screen, just like you, only to find out that it wasnt at all Longhorn that he downloaded :p

If it is, and you install it, post some screens and feedback ;)

So longhorn is supposed to analyze your pc's hardware and give you some kind of lable like "Level 4" or whatever. And that lable is supposed to be used by gaming and software manufacturers for their minimum requirements statements or to do away with their minimum requirements statements altogether. Supposed to work something like you have a level 4 pc configuration, so you can run all level 4 and lower software.

Anyone seen this in action, yet?

Wonder what my PC would get???

Beta operating systems or even OS components aren't worth the hassle anyway. A few weeks later you will boot to find half your DLLs have "expired" and cease to function. Plus God only knows what spyware/call-home features Microsofts latest OS has. Especially a beta like this.

Not really sure..I didnt want to take the time to get it to work..I was just curious to see if it was for real and what it was bringing to the table..Theres actually a new build out. I think I got a corrupt one..Cause people said that it worked fine others had hardware/software problems.??
