So im building into the top of my case a wind tunnel made of lexan with 2 x120mm fans on each end, in here will be the hot parts of the computer, radiators from watercooling PSU and Hard drives, now so far ive just cut the top of the PSU off and took the 120mm fan out, the thing never got that hot before its a 450W, now the outside lexan wall of the case is close to the parts inside the psu there are 2 big heat sinks that are there, Lexan is nonconductive, and the other metal half of the psu is grounded so as far as i can see it should be safe.

what do you think?

-i could overheat but for now im just woried about electical safty measures
heres a rough sketch of the layuout

also the psu is open on 3 sides now so air can flow over it and cool it

this mods mad the psu 1/2 the size

also not the rest of the case is lexan

any comments, i assume sense they do lexan or acriliic psu mods it should be safe for the platic to touch any internal parts w/o risk of conduction, and if so the outside of the psu is grounded(original side)

Umm, yeah. There is no chance that lexan will conduct electricity...I mean, it's plastic!!! They only thing it would do is melt...but that won't happen until well over 100 C so I wouldn't worry about it.
