It comes with a funky new cooler, too. ;o
It looks similar to the Arctic Silencer used on the His X1900 Iceq3 series.

AC have its own distinctive fan design, but who cares anyway.
Nevertheless, as far as I can see on the photo, the PCB of this model is not the same as one posted by the Inq, where digital VRM was used (with high-speed DSP chip).
update:
w00t!!!
92°C under load, and it's even not in a case but open stand:

Now put two of these in Crossfire to frag your local powerplant. :D
I bet, that the single heatpipe is just steaming out of capacity.

92C! Holy Crap! I would never use that card not matter what performance benefits... the entire PC would be steaming...

At least, the new cooler looks nice.

The hot air goes for 100% outside the case. ;)

The card still gets hot itself... I have a side fan on both my cards and if I touch behind them I can still feel heat... that aids to higher ambient temps.

Yeah it does. Little red rocket ship. :D
Wow, also looks like the fan header is a 4 pin.

92C is relatively cool compared to Nvidia's last gen cards. My my 6800GT would hit almost 120C under load, causing artifacting like crazy and general system instability. A call to BFG revealed that this was the norm with these cards, and that the only way to reduce the temps was to lower the clock speeds below stock.
Hopefully the new ATi cards don't suffer the same problems as BFG's cards.

BFG lied to you then because thats BS. My 6800GT would never go above 80C under MAX load. My 7800GTX SLi rig doesn't even hit 80C ever....
If your 6800GT hit 120 then it was a dud... it wasn't Nvidia's fault but BFGs or your own...

The card throttles at 120c, there is no way that it is supposed to hit that temperature, sounds like you had a bad card. I had a 6800GT that would do about 70c
Are people blind or something ? The picture shows the stock card doing 92c and the HIS card doing 81c.
It's tempting to not buy such a card, but indeed it's better to wait for DX10 cards.

Thats the issue, if the stock is running that high then its nuts... I rarely change my GPUs cooling..

lol you guy's are blind.
I've seen these pics before, they have nothing to do with the x1950xt. lol.
If I remember right, HIS is comparing their cooler to the stock cooler of the x1900xt. Infact, If you look closely on the pic that shows both set up's with the screens displaying the temps, you will see on the left set up that is a x1900xt. You can tell because there is that big vacuume white cooler clearly sticking out on top of the card.
The cooler on the new x1950xt will perform slighty the same as HIS's ICEq3 if not even better. Take a look at the two cards. The cooler on the x1950xt has a bigger heat sink, less fan fins but larger at the same time.
All in all, I'm very much looking into this card.:D
My 9800Pro used to hit up to 95C under load, and it was fine. Going on 4 years now. That was not the card, but the old Gateway case, which has piss-poor ventilation. If you're hitting 120, check your case. Open the side if you need to.
With my current case, my 7900GT hits 55 tops under load, 43 idle.

**** my OC'ed 7800GT SLI never goes over 60c on load, where did you keep your pc in a BBQ grill or something

My PC case is quite cool, in fact my dual Xeon's only hit about 50C under load when its very hot out. I have an Antec case with two 120 MM fans, and have all my cables routed so that I get the best airflow possible through the case. The fact is, the BFG6800 GT's are just turds if they say 120C is normal for the chip. Needless to say, I wasn't too impressed to spend a premium over a stock 6800GT only to find that one has to run the card at 330 Core to get it to run stable.

Another pic over at guru3d: http://www.guru3d.com/news.php#4209
Maybe it's just the motherboard they have it in, but man, it looks HUGE!!
I like the looks of the cooler, but the card looks like it weighs 20 pounds. They are going to have to offer suspension cables with it so the PCB doesn't snap under the weight :D
/me rushes off to invest in copper futures :D
It looks a heck of a lot more efficient than the old cooler, thats for sure.
Saving my pennies for the r600 AIW currently.

Did anyone notice that the fan is still the same? If this one gets hot as well, whine city! :) Hopefully this one won't be as loud as my current one, not that it matters anyhow. I'm waiting for next-gen.
Apparently this is the final design for the card. Very nice cooler but I am still waiting for the R600 or G80 cards to upgrade.
