HWCursor in XFree86 4.3?

With the release of 4.2.99 (soon to become 4.3) XCursor added the ability to use colored cursors w/ variable transparencies and animations(via a series of images). Does anybody know if enabling HWCursor has any affect?

I've just installed the 1.0-4349 driver and have noticed that with hwcursor enabled the xcursors flickers. I didn't noticed this happening with the 1.0-4191 drivers (but thats not to say it didn't happen). Disabling hwcursor seems to fix it.

edit: the flicker is actually very odd, it seems to flicker for about 2-3 seconds and then stop of about 16-17 seconds and repeats

Yeah, I notice that too. Oh well, it doesn't flicker with the core set :)

I wonder if that RenderAccell bug is still in it? I'm too afriad of ruining my uptime :(
