Lol, that color would be a bit 'loud' for my case. Seems like a pretty solid PSU though.

IMO copper would go just fine in a case with copper ramsinks and a red or black motherboard. Especially with the right cathode.

I only wish it had the 1% regulation and the testing standards of the Turbo Cools (it is rated up at 40C, while Turbo Cools are rated at 50C).

My Tagan i-Xeye PSU has two fans running at super-low RPM and it's really quiet :).

ugh that color

I prefer my black to that... whatever the hell that is

I think it would look good in a gun metal grey case with a matte finish, or even a blue case. Or anycase without a window.

Must be decent, it was used in the MaximumPC Dream Machine

No one will deny that PCP&C make some of the best PSUs on the market. The problem with this particular PSU is the color of the body. A glossy black would have been the way to go.

I prefer silverstone for high end power suplies, but ya, how could they pick a color like that...

It's copper. Seriously what is the big deal? Mushkin and OCZ both push out RAM with copper heat spreaders yet there is no uproar over it.

This PS would look just fine if you had the right cathode and the right components. A black case with copper heatspreaders on your memory and a Zalman 7000/7700 would work nicely with it. Even better w/a black motherboard.

it's not just copper guys it's Brilliant copper :D

wow, thats an awesome price for a PCP&C

07-27-06, 03:36 PM
Damn that's a stand out color ...I like.
I bet it would look great in any case where it could be seen. Plus its quiet :D

...at $199 it going to get serious consideration from me when its time for a new PSU

Anyone here run the 470 silencer? I'm thinking of getting one for my next computer. For $100, sounds like a decent deal.. That should be enough to power a conroe(e6400 or 6600), 2 hd's, a burner, 2 gigs of ram, 3 fans, and something along hte lines of a 7900GT (or the next gen equiv) right?

Its alot cheaper than my older PC&P 425 Deluxe 20 pin I have now!
