Videos All dark black and white.

Whenever I play a video on Windows Media Player They are in black and white and i can barley see them. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks for reply.

Well, if you could provide some additional details about your system, that would help out a lot in recognizing the problem.

What GPU/Graphics Card/VGA are you using ?

What driver version are you using for that video card?

What OS do you have? (Please see if you dig out the service pack version of your OS too)

Have you recently messed with the registry files/applied any updates (criticial/non-critical) to your OS, which might have triggered the problem?

Did you install any codecs recently (before the problem occured) ?

Which version of Media Player are you using?

Is the problem only occuring with specific types of video files (e.g. .avi or.mpeg) or the problem is apparent in all the video files you have on your system?

See if you can solve the problem by using an other media player ...

If you can find these details, we can more specifically target the problem.

Thanks alot for going out of your way and doing this. I tried using VLC Media Player and the videos were still the same color. This happened after i reformatted my hard drive. Im using Windows Media Player 11 the beta one. My system specs are Nvidia GeForce 6800,AMD Athlon 64 3700+@2.4ghz and 1gb of Pqi Ram. I have combined community codec pack on my computer. Ill click that link that you gave me. Thanks again for reply
