I know these are Quadros, but I didn't think the thread would get much notice in the workstation forum...anyway:

Absolutely ridiculous...and only $17,500.

I'm sure he'd find a way to get two of those boxes and externally SLI them.

I dont think this would do much for games. :p

To be honest, I think any resolution over 1280x960 with 4xAA looks great. 1600x1200 with 4xAA looks just about perfect to me on my 19" CRT.

Now If only it ran decent in most games... :o

64xAA would be overkill for gaming, but its still cool :o

at the bottom there is a link to a article for a watercooled EVGA 7950 gx2 that ran @ 600/700(1.4 ghz efective) it also cools it by 20c to alow further OCing...
so when are you getting it jakup?

Not likely. Quadros are workstation cards, not gaming cards.

actually quadros perform awesome in games, common misconception

the G70 based 4500 was equiv to a 7800gtx in games

i must disagree, on LCD monitor, you have to game in the native res. lowering the resolutions ends up in inferior image quality

I think that chap venturi might actually buy these. If I won the lotto I would buy these for the sake of it.

Yes but the Quadro drivers are designed around Image Quality. Not performance.

cant you softmod a geforce to a quadro? wouldnt it utilize the quadro drivers then?

hmm, id like to see an IQ comparison, thatd be interesting.

Yes, I believe you can softmod some geforce cards to quadro.

the resolution, for example if you have a screen with res of 1680x1050, and play at 1280x920, its simply will not look as good as it could

LCD screens need to run in native resolution, other wise it will look washed out

CaptNKILL was talking about a CRT monitor.

But I agree about LCD. Being that they are fixed pixel displays, anything less than native resolution won't look optimal.

CRT are variable pixel displays and are capable of running various resolutions. They have no "native" resolution per se. Which is another reason they're better for gaming IMO.

i know that crt has no native res, reason i was talking about LCD, is that most displays used in computers now are LCD, and more and more LCD are used in home theater
