I started a guild called "Linux Alliance" on a US server and a few people were upset that it wasn't on an oceanic one, so now I've deleted all of that and am setting it up on the oceanic server. I'll need signatures all all that. Forums are going to be up as soon as the new harddrive get installed into the webserver. Here's the info you need to know for now.

Purpose: To have fun with other Linux users/supporters (even if they play WoW on a Mac/Windows) and expose Linux to more people. That doesn't mean preaching, but for people to that Linux is growing. This isn't a "My OS is better than your OS" guild, even though we all know the answer to that...

Server: Aman'Thul // Normal (PvE) // Oceanic
Affiliation: Horde
Guild Master's PC: Uunuuru // Send mails or tells to that PC to arange signatures / joining.

Thanks for the support, even if it's just to create a PC to sign the guild sheet. Also, any in-game donations will prove to be very helpful to get it started.

WoW can be run in Linux using Wine or Cedega. It has a platinum rating w/ Wine 0.9.18, though the over all performance is at about 70% due to the emulation layer. That's why it's stated that the users aren't required to play WoW in Linux. I'm a FPS mongrel as well. I switch back and forth trying to figure out tweaks.

As for an NvNews clan I'm going to have to decline. I'm currently talking with the people @ Linux-Gamers.net and Linux.com as well as a few others for exploitation of the guild and see if we can't get our own decent community out of it.

Well, the guild is up, we have our tabbards and everyone loves it thus far. We get a new member ever other day at least. Unfortunately since it's creation I've had to chop some people from the list for being - well, you know that "I'm better than all of you, don't tell me what to do" kind of WoW player? Well, they got booted so the number now is still 10.

Everyone's really good about sharing currency, quest help, Linux help and so forth. Hope to see you guys around.

Well, I don't really game in Linux and already found my way into some guilds, so I guess I'm spoken for :D I've got some chars on Amun'Thul though, and the guy I'm playing now mostly (a lvl 18 Paladin), has lvl 133 blacksmithing with lvl 118 mining. That said, if some peeps I've chatted with would like some items...

Pretty much restricted to the area around Goldshire (he started in 3 ridges or wherever that zone is on the opposite side from westfalls) right now however...

I won't mention the druid leather worker, as his skill in skinning and leatherworking isn't as high as of yet...

No one is required to use Linux for gaming in the guild. A lot of the people use it at work and would like to see more native games on it.

Other than that, we're horde side. (pirate)
