the 13th race of the season, the Hungarian Grand Prix! :D
things may be falling into place for Ferrari as Renault will once again not use their mass-damper system, and, more importantly, Alonso, the points leader, will be penalized 2 seconds per qualifying session (making it difficult for him to even make it out of the first round). he was cited for dangerous driving when he forced the Red Bull car of Doornbus to take evasive action when Alonso tried to squeeze him off the road, and for passing a car under yellow. what was he thinking? is the pressure of the chase getting to him?
Schumacher is 11 points behind Alonso, so, as he tries for his fourth win in a row, Alonso will be hard pressed to compete for the podium. right now, Alonso must focus on limiting the damage Ferrari/Schumie will do to his lead, so that means no more craziness on the track. but does he really care? sure, he is being paid to race for Renault, and he must have pride in his craft, but he is leaving the team for McLaren, so perhaps his heart is not in it? it should be interesting to see how he responds to the penalty: ie, sulks and does poorly in the race, or competes and fights his way to the top of the grid for points or a podium.

Alosno denies that he is crumbling under the pressure of being chased by the best driver in F1: http://www.itv-f1.com/News_Article.aspx?PO_ID=36926
Friday practice results usually mean nothing, as most teams use this time to test different tire compunds and set-ups, but Massa was fastest, the Renaults were 2nd/3rd, and both Toyotas and BMWs were in the top ten. we'll have to wait and see if this trend continues for those teams:

Webber is out at Williams as his "heart was elsewhere" and in 2007, the team will have Rosberg and Wurz driving for them. so, Webber to Renault alongside Fisichella, and Raikonen to Ferrari to be paired with Massa, unless Schumie decides to stay, meaning that Kimi will likely stay at McLaren since i doubt he'd like playing second fiddle to another top driver: http://www.itv-f1.com/News_Article.aspx?PO_ID=36907
