If you're referring to the code you have to enter, then yes, I think you need to use IE. I had the same problems previously (most recently with the Company of Heroes Beta signup).

Holy freaking realism batman

Its about time they made the cities look almost as good as the planes in these sims. I swear, they looked pretty much the same from like 1998 to 2005.

Haha. This game looks awesome, I can't wait for it. I just bought a new joystick that came with the throttle quadrant. It makes the game awesome.

Yeah, I'm looking at getting a Saitek X52 (http://www.saitekusa.com/usa/prod/x52.htm) to use with FSX. Out of curiosity, which joystick/throttle quadrant did you get?

I got the same one you are looking at. It is amazing and with all the buttons it has, you can program just about everything in FS from flaps controls to lights to anything. It is amazing. One thing not so amazing is the price. Other than that it is an amazing piece of equipment.

Yeah, I like how many buttons it has. I can't stand having to use the keyboard when flight siming. Totally takes away from the realism factor. My current joystick has 12 buttons which is nice...but not really enough for flight simulators. How is the build quality of the X52? Does it feel really solid?

It has it's pro's and cons as you have probably read in many reviews. Although, they are all based really on how picky you are. I think it is a great build, stable and works well. Some other people say it is a bit under-built and could use some help but maybe thye thought it would of been better. I like it and compared to my old joystick, it is a major improvement. The throttle quadrant makes it worth it, it is easier to land, and do other manuevers, etc without having to use the mouse to lower the engine settings. One downside is that some people have had problems with the drivers. You don't need to isntall them, but not installing means you won't be able to program every button. There are so many though, I was fine with that. I never installed the drivers so I can't comment. Just from reading other peoples, I decided not to. Overall I would highly reccommend this to you. I enjoy it a lot. Any more questiosn feel free to ask, I will try to help you out as much as possible. I would go for it though, it is a good 100 dollar investment. :D (From newegg) 130 from the actual site.

Just an FYI, check out the reconditioned section at Saitek. I bought my X45 from there at the time they were retailing for $79.95, I paid $49.95. It came in the retail box and is still working perfectly to this day, going on 3 years now. Of course I'd love to upgrade to the X52, the recon one is $69.95 right now.

You can find plenty under 40. Just don't excpect any fancy buttons, I would say 8 maximum. I hvae one form maybe 5 years back that cost about 30 at the time and it has 8 buttons, it works excellent. Check out some stuff from sidewinder.

That is amazing. Has anyone seen the before and after shot with Directx10? I have it in a magazine and saw it. Wow, so much of a difference. It is an artists rendition but still, it looks amazing.

This wasnt a real render but it was put together by the devs (IIRC) to illustrate how FSX might look like in DX10. It was originally posted on that tech site that had these huge articles about DX10 and Vista, I think extremehardware.com or something, but Im not exactly sure.

Yes, that is the picture I was referring to. It is an artists rendition of what DX10 could look like. I think it is amazing. :D
