Was just browsing over at CNN.com for a little bit, and wow...
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned (or cheated on, as the case may be):

The worst thing? The daughter...

Serves the miserable **** right for doing what she did. I wonder how her step-daughter feels about her now.

I am in every sense against adaultry or cheating in any manner
NO he didn't get what was comming. Let's take your logic, let's say the roles were reversed. If the guy had run over his wife for cheating on him, anyone within a three mile radius would've run up to him and bashed his head in w/ a brick. But #@$! no, the woman gets a trial where she will prob get half the sentence she deserves. :argh:  :argh: :fu:
In conclusion, no one deserves to be killed for cheating. It just means the couple has had problems and need to work them out or give up. Thank you.

god this pisses me off every time i read it. IT WAS JUST AS LIKELY THAT HE WOULD INFECT HIS MISTRESS W/ A VD HE GOT FROM HIS WIFE. And why is it that automatically when you get maried every other girl in the whole world has a VD according to the wife? Besides the obvious "I should be the only girl you look at in that way ever again."

Dude, we live in a generation in which sex kills. Over 2/3 of the children living in certain parts of Africa will die within the next few years as a result of the HIV/AIDS virus.
Does that mean she was justified in killing the guy? Hell no, I hope she gets life for it...Was it a very very stupid and dangerous move on his part? Yes.

Yes you did mention what my post was about.

Well, I think he sorta kinda deserved it, but the daughter certainly does not. While I really don't think he should have been run over three times before dying, a quicker "death of passion" I could see as justified.
But the daughter changes the whole thing...most particularly when the wife's not the mother of said daughter.

Murder is NEVER justified, and adultery is not either. Two wrongs do not make a right. Who of anyone has not done something worth punishment? Please think about that when you post about someone doing something awful. Life is not so worthless that they should die for stupidity. EVERY life is precious to me, and would it that no one died, but that is not posible. So I only advocate for death in the most extreme times, when there is no other option. It is my hope that this will make people stop and think hard about the important things in life. If you disagree, I won't try any more to influence the position you have chosen, and I am sorry that we can't agree on this and I ask you not to try and change my mind. My integrity is in, I hope, all my posts and if it is not please let me know.
If you quote this or any other post of mine, please keep in mind that my deepest sincerity is, I hope, in those posts.:angel2:

WTF is WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE??
A man deserves to be RUN OVER three times because he had sex with another woman?? Because he could have given his wife an STD?
There's a thing called DIVORCE that scorned wives can enact once they feel the marriage is no longer salvageable.
Many wives make out just fine financially when the husband is the culprit, and time heals wounds that can't be fixed in court.
God...this makes me weary and fearful for the human race when people say things like "he deserves it" for something so petty as breach of the marital contract. Take your puritanical BS and move to the mountains.
EDIT - Minor vitriol edited! Please, try to start caring in the future. <Sy>

Let me just say that I'm all for retaliation.
Quick example:
I've seen a ton of stories about lovers' spats that end up with one person pushing another out a window (in an apartment complex...i.e. generally more than two stories up). This is the kind of thing I would think is justified for the woman in this situation (though what she did was just sadistic...).
But the thing I really think makes for poetic justice? There are a number of times where the "pushee" has managed to grab onto something before falling. The pusher then, in an uncontrollable fit of anger (and stupidity) jumps out after the other person, dying himself (usually it's the guy here...), while allowing the woman to live.
I guess another way to put it was that I really don't have any sympathy for people who seriously wronged another and that person kills 'em, except when it's this sadistic. But the daughter...she I really have sympathy for in this case. For her, and for her alone do I consider this woman a royal *****.

I didn't mean to suggest that a monetary reward from a divorce court can heal the pain from an unfaithful lover. All i meant to say was: people that discover over time that they are NOT, if fact, compatible in marriage, do NOT deserve to inflict emotional and physical pain on one another.
The wife could have been done with the emotional pain the husband inflicted on her simply by filing for divorce and forcefully removing him from her living space by court order.
The man in this case, did NOT deserve the physical pain and death caused by the wife who didn't feel that settling for divorce with an obviously large monetary settlement pending because of his unfaithful actions, wasn't punishment enough.
I merely suggested that she would be better off divorcing this unfaithful man who caused her so much grief instead of agreeing that he deserved death at her hands. Sheesh...

The only thing I can say is if this woman felt so wounded that she just had to run over the guy, did she have to do it when the daughter was in the car, too?!?!
That kid's gonna be scarred for life, man.
BTW, I'm going to trim this thread up.
I find a number of posts way too inflamatory. :(

Don't you mean follow the rules? My meaning of civil isn't exactly going to cut it. :)

Regardless of what I or anyone else here thinks, cheating is not a crime and murder is, regardless of the motives. Now, that may get her a reduced sentence, but she's still guilty criminally. Was her husband guilty morally? Yes, of course. However that will not hold up in a courtroom, especially in Texas.

Texas is an enigma of it's own when it comes to justice. It's hard telling where this one will go. Consider this scenario (shamelessly ripped from Sphinx's post on Xian's forums) that may show just how predictable (or unpredictable) justice in Texas can be...
SCENARIO: You're walking down a deserted street with your wife and two small children. Suddenly, a dangerous looking man with a huge knife comes around the corner and is running at you while screaming obscenities. In your hand is a Glock .40 and you are an expert shot. You have mere seconds before he reaches you and your family.
What do you do?
LIBERAL ANSWER: "Well, that's not enough information to answer the question! Does the man look poor or oppressed? Have I ever done anything to him that is inspiring him to attack? Could we run way? What does my wife think? What about the kids? Could I possibly swing the gun like a club and knock the knife out of his hand? What does the law say about this situation? You know, he has not actually committed a crime, yet. Is it possible he'd be happy with just killing me? Does he definitely want to kill me or would he just be content to wound me? If I were to grab his knees and hold on, could my family get away while he was stabbing me? This is all so confusing! I need to debate this with some friends over some Starbucks for a few days to try to come to a conclusion!! :("
