Hi all. Here's the situation. As some of you may or may not know, I'm a mechanical engineering student. I'm currently in my projects quarter where we have to design and build a project of our choice. My team has chosen to build an Underwater ROV. It will be able to go to 500 ft underwater. It is being controlled from a Laptop on the surface and connected with an umbilical cable (which carries power and data signals to and from the ROV).
We have pretty much finalized all the mechanical doodads and the programming of the software is coming along. Now here's my problem. I want to use 2 joysticks to control it. One (the right one) for forward/back, left/right, and rotate left/right. And another (the left one) for roll left/right, pitch forward/back, and up/down movement. My problem is finding a joystick that is ambidextrous so that I can buy 2 of them and use them. The only one I've found is the Saitek Cyborg EVO. In my opinion, this joystick sucks. It's pretty uncomfortable and very bulky.
So does anyone have a left handed joystick or know of one? Thanks a bunch!
