Telling Palamino from Thoroughbred is quite easy since the look quite a bit different. However, how do u tell Thoroughbred A from B? Can you do it from CPUID string and do u have to look at the markings on the CPU itself?

The markings on the cpu itself I believe check amdmb (http://amdmb.com)
If I remember correctly, Thoroughbred B is Family 6, Model 8, Stepping 1, while Thoroughbread A is Family 6, Model 8, Stepping 0. There's a thread in the CPU forum at http://amdmb.com, as Smokey mentioned...
I just got my 2100+ (Tbred B) to boot up as a 2700+... :D
