Not in games, but in driving my second LCD. I have 7800GTX SLI driving my main LCD, and the X1300 PCI card driving my second LCD.
Playing a video through WMP, it is incredibly slow on the ATI card, choppy, like when you try to play a full screen video on an old video card before you install the drivers, and it is using the generic Windows drivers?
Taking a window and dragging it across the screen with the ATI card is choppy as well, while on the main display it is fine.
I know that the X1300 is not a gamer's card, but for browsing and playing videos it should be way more than adequate.
Ok, so I updated to Cat 6.7's and same issue. If I watch a 30mb video file, the larger I scale it, the more choppy it gets.
When I go full screen, the mouse even gets choppy when dragging it across the screen, but when it goes to the other screen fine.
It's like my new $130 X1300 is about as fast as an integrated VGA from 1996. I had an FX5500 in here before and it was fine, no issues at all(as far as performance goes) other than the NVidia drivers not liking having a non-SLI NVidia card in an SLI system and having to trick it to enable SLI and dual-view at the same time.
Ok, here is another thing I notice. When I play a video on the main display, I get 30-40% CPU usage on one of my Opteron's cores. When I watch that same video at the same resolution on the X1300 screen, that same core buries the needle at 100% CPU utilization.
Last, here is what DXDIAG shows for each card,
7800GTX SLI:
