Sabotage 1943 - a 3rd person stealth game

Formerly known as just 'Sabotage' ; it was a fps game in early development.

It seems the devs changed their minds and turned it into 3rd person.

Due in Q1 2007 and it looks real good imo. Screenshots can be found here :

Good game idea, but too much concessions to fashion, IMO. Why they can't make a REAL 1940s spy?. Why she must be a kind of Tomb Raider in 40s?

Nice ambience though. Although too much HDR and bloom IMO.

Might be a little dated on the eye candy, but it its anything like Deusex or Thief ... count me IN!

I was not referring to the gameplay, instead to the look of the female protagonist. I have readen and seen many information about WWII, and believe me or not, this girl is much nearer to a Tomb Raider than a real WWII spy...

At side of this, the game could be enjoyable though

At least she looks decent and not some kind of virtual pin up, and usually i prefer to play as male game characters ( Except for MGS2's Raiden ).

The screens with the knife imply some good close range sneaking gameplay.

Here's a preview trailer from 2004 when it was still in development as a first person shooter game. I hope they'll have some good character animations for her, now it's a 3rd person sneaking game.

Heroine Violette Summer was influenced to some degree by the actual French resistance fighter Violette Szabo, who completed several dangerous assignments for Great Britain before being executed in Ravensbrueck concentration camp. However, at this point, Violette Szabo and Violette Summer have little else in common than their first names. While Szabo is a real-life hero of the Résistance, Violette Summer is purely a work of fiction.

Wouldn't it be sweet btw . if the game's intro or credit sequence featured the Sabotage song by BeastieBoys ?

Looks pretty interesting. Thank god we don't get another female character with 40 gallon knockers. It's rather refreshing.

I think it looks pretty cool. I hated Splinter Cell when it first came out because of the third person view but I love the game now. It is one of my favorites. I'll give this one a chance.

Me and my friend tried co-op one time and we couldn't figure it out. It was the silo level or something. Not even sure but it wouldn't work for us. :o
