View Full Version : Best Driver for TNT2 64?
Hi, I installed a TNT2 64 card on an old computer of mine. I tried to install 91.31, but the nvidia setup said that it is incompatible with hardware. So I installed an old driver I had lying around (66.93).
What would be the best drive to use for this card?
Thanks for any help you guys can give.

Lol, I realise its an old card, but I was just wondering if anyone knows of a recent driver that works with this card. I figure, it can't hurt. It won't help performance any, but it might improve image quality - never know. I'll try out one of the 80 series.

i have the same graphics card (NVidia Riva TNT2 model 64/model 64 PRO) working on windows whith an old driver version (3x-xx). I have just installed ubuntu 7.04 and i was able to install it by using the 7185 drivers version. it works ok for some minutes and then the system freezes... help!!!! please.
i had the same problem under windows with the latest supported drivers (that's why i installed an old version). could it be an agp problem config? when i enter the bios setup there are two options agp speed (1x, 2 and 4x) and AGP aperture size (set in 32MB).
please help me i have been seeking for a solution for days!

I have a problem with a TNT2 32. I can't swith to the 1024x728 resolution and although it says that the OpenGL thing works ok, I can't play any 3D game or use any OpenGL screensaver. glxgears have an erratic behaviour.

If your planning on NOT playing anything new, try the OLD 28.32's. I had a mx400 way back in the day, and those unofficial 28.32's ran the best without any choppiness, as if v-sync was on.
If you want, I still have those exact drivers on backup somewheres. :)
I used 41.09's with the g3's and my g4 ti 4600. currently, running 71.81's with it.
