This once was a great place, full of intelligent, helpful and and tolerant people. I hate to say it, but it's been going downhill, and today I feel it's gone so low that I know longer want to participate here. :rolleyes:

Don't let the flamers get to you. Some of us new mods had to learn the ropes a bit but we're pretty much hit our stride. Expect to see some serious cracking down on the flaming trend really fast!!

In the physical world I'm a potty mouth, but fer some reason I miss when nobody swore in here...:p it kinda contrasted a lotta other forums.

What makes you think its downhill? Swearing? Trolling ATiHeads? The forum and homepage combine to make one of the best gpu sites around IMHO :)

The downer for me was the split with nv and envy. And the locked threads dealing with the beforementioned subject.

Personally madthumbs I think this is one of the best forums around, with lots of interesting people. True there are somtimes "heated" discussions ... but ther's nothin wrong with that. Thats one of the things that helps make this site first-rate, providing an open floor for technology issues for everybody.
This forum would in fact be a lot less interesting if everybody always thought the same thing.

Believe me, those words I sent to pelly weren't mine.
I sent him an excerpt from an e-mail I received from HardOCP a couple of years ago. pelly mistakingly though it was my reply, but that was HardOCP's reply to me.
Unfortunately, pelly couldn't put two and two togther and figure that out.
I'm sorry that pelly feels that if I don't link to HardOCP, that he can't be a forum member. I also don't think he had to make public the content of what he thought were my words.

You did make it clear in the subject line that it was a quote, right?
Sometimes people tend to lookover some things when reading the e-mail itself.

Ditto. Though I abandoned all my uber-ish responsibilities on my own volition. But in the grand scheme of things, I'm glad I'm just an average forum Joe around here. :)

Although I do miss moving threads out of the NVIDIA discussion forum into Linux because the forum n00bs were too stupid scroll down to the bottom of the main forum page to see we have 2 forums dedicated to Linux.
I never left redirects from those threads I moved either. I figure if they're too dumb to notice the forum, they probably shouldn't be messing around with Linux to begin with. :D
