There goes my night. Here's to hoping this is just as fun as Glory of the Roman Empire, but more in-depth. CivCity Rome just sucks.

Getting 600KB/sec from Filefront with no line. Stinkplanet is probably faster, but lines are 15+ minutes unless you're one of those fools with an account. :D

I am really anticipating this considering how lackluster CivCity and GotRE were...
I truly like Impressions' city-building games... From Pharaoh and Emperor to Zeus.

My initial impressions aren't that good. Performance is really poor, and it's just dropping buildings everywhere. There isn't really a tutorial to speak of either. Fans and veterans of the previous games probably will have an easier time than I've had.

There certainly is a large variety of buildings and things to do. There are different class levels of citizens to do different types of jobs as well.

CivCity was quite bad

Ceasar is much better in city building aspect, but performance is horrible, insanelly bad.

at 1680x1050 with all settings maxed i been getting 12-22 fps thats with about 10 buildings

AMD X2 4400+ @ 2.6ghz
2gb PC4000

Runs pretty good for me at 1920x1080 with best settings on. Im loving the demo, getting the game at release is a must for me!

Yeah, I put everything on lowest possible @ 1024x768 and it's still that bad. For whatever reason, it just seems to be designed that way. If you look at the developer movies the scrolling around the map is just as choppy.

Can this demo play @ 2560x1600? If not, then how high of a rez can it be played?

If you're wondering if it supports it, I'd imagine it does. It has a huge array of resolutions available for my 1600x1200 LCD, including several widescreen.

If you actually want playable FPS, I don't know.
