Switch over to your second PC I say.. :P
I wouldent say theres anything wrong with your 7800GTX's, i only have one 7800GTX at the moment and it plays all my games at the highest settings no problem(e.g prey, riddick, doom3 & bf2)i plan on getting another around christmas time so i will have x2 7800GTX in sli mode.
As for upgrading your 6600GT, depends on what cpu you have, if its something like a athlon xp 3000+ or 3200+ i wouldent bother getting a better gfx card, a while back i had a athlon xp 3000+ with a 6600 256MB... i upgraded my card to a 6800GT, there awsome cards but i never really used its full power as it was getting choked by my 3000+ athlon xp, i only really noticed how good they are when i upgraded my cpu, back then i had a ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 so i could still use my agp card but also have a 64bit.

Current and last generation graphics cards wouldn't be bottlnecked by a quality Athlon CPU. What does the 3000 run at, 2.0gHz? There have been lots of benchmarks showing this--even all the way up to 7900GTX's/1900XT's running on slower processors (2.0-2.2gHz) and older Pentium 4's.
I can pull the benchmarks that show this if anyone is interested.
As for upgrading your graphics card, I can't speak for the Nvidia cards of last generation because I owned the 850XT in AGP. I can say that the 850 was a hell of a card and served me well. It doesn't have HDR capability, but it sliced through games pretty good. I could play FEAR @ 1280x1024, 2xAA, 8xAF at smooth framerates (40-50) paired with a Pentium 4 EE @ 3.2gHz.

Trust me, i had a 6800GT and a athlon xp 3000+, when i got the ASRock 939Dual-SATA2 motherboard and got my 64bit i had my 6800GT running with my 64bit i noticed a big difference in gfx performance.... i know for a fact that the 3000+ 32bit athlon xp was choking the card.... i was also told this by quite afew people!....... its a known fact that your card can only perform as well as your cpu will allow it!
There may be benchmarks BUT they will be lower on a 32bit than on a 64bit cpu.

I'd go for the 7600gt, I dont know much about ATI cards so I'd look at some trust worthy bench marks. when is the 7600gt agp coming out any way?

If your secound system has 2 7800GTX then just use it and wait and save up for your next system with a G80 ,the 7800GTX will play any game right now IMO.

Do you have 64-bit Windows? If not, the 64-bit CPU wouldn't have made a difference at all in graphics performance.

Not really. See the above benchmarks. In every one of those there's a negligible difference between the top of the line AMD 939 processor and slower Pentiums.

Not unless you're running a 64-bit operating system. Otherwise, the 64-bit processor will function as 32-bit. That's determined by the operating system--not the CPU.

Those benchmarks don't show how an Athlon Xp system would compare. Depending on the game, an Athlon64 would make a noticeable difference in performance. Far Cry seems to show some good performance benefits from going to a faster CPU.
Personally, when I upgraded my Athlon xp 2800+, to my current athlon64 X2 3800+, it made a huge difference in most of my games when I used my 6800 ultra. Even in a game as GPU hungry as FEAR, I saw a very noticeable improvement in framerate from the CPU upgrade.
