Well I stepped up from the 3700 to the 4800 and nice increase for me. It's no Duo but I'm saving up for AMD's future realeses. Not the greatest but can notice an overall increase in performance. Good Times!!!:D
don't forget to update your sig.
Yea i plan to upgrade from 3700 to a 4800 as well..was sad to see the 5000 not come out for the 939..should give my gx2 abit of a leg room and set me up for Crysis

I honestly would love to post that I just purchased a C2D 6800 extreme, some DDR2, and a new 590 MB but.... It's a bit much right now and I also just purchased my current MB a few months ago. I just couldn't pass up the price/performance. I'm just getting a lot of angry looks from a friend of mine due to the fact he payed over 700 bucks for his 4800. All in all I'm very pleased with the performance of this chip! Only one game still taxes me harder than any other is GRAW! That game is a slug.. but I like playing it so I put up with the average performance.

I'm in the same boat as you. Conroe's stout, but I can't really justify ditching my system just after a few months when the performance differences between the two systems don't really justify starting over yet. What you and I have will keep up just fine. There's really no need to upgrade yet.
I'm waiting for DDR3; I've heard bad things about DDR-2 based systems. Not enough of a performance increase to warrant a purchase from me right now.

My feelings exactly, why get rid of a perfectly good system that you just bought, just to say you have a C2D?

Well honestly if I had the cash and I wasn't married I'd be all over one of the duo's. But..... lol that's not going to happen. Well I'm very happy with this new chip. I noticed much improvement over the 3700 now just got to clock it up to the FX60 and I'll be happy.
