With close to 1,000 posts since the server was hacked and countless others beforehand…I am letting everyone know that effective immediately, I will no longer be a member of the nV News community in any form. It has come to my attention that Mike has instructed everyone at nV News to cease posting any news associated with HardOCP. Taking a few steps back and looking at the entire situation, I cannot help but feel as though this is far too similar to a very poor soap opera. Having been a member of the forums back in the days when members such as @thlon, Saturn, and JuiceZ were in almost every thread…I would have expected some sort of heads-up on the matter at the very least. Instead, my original email with the notification of an article was ignored. Only after I emailed a direct question regarding HardOCP was I given a response.

When I made the decision to leave my position at nV News to work with Kyle at HardOCP, I truly believed that I could remain a solid contributor to these forums. Given my past with the website, I thought that any issue between Mike and Kyle would remain between the two of them as I had no part in their dispute. However, much like the altercation with Neil and Envy News it looks as though others are being dragged in kicking and screaming against their will.

To those who have made my years in the nV News community so enjoyable, I would like to say, “Thank You”. Though nearly everyone has proven to be a pleasure to speak with…there are a few who come to mind as standing out above the others. JuiceZ, Saturn, Volt are all the “old” guys from back in the days when I was just getting started…I learned a great deal from you guys and appreciate all your input and advice. K.I.L.E.R, vampireuk, and PsychoSy are all the sick people who keep things interesting…..thanks for all the laughs and random posts…I could go on forever listing everyone who made my time here enjoyable, though there is just not enough time…

It is a shame to see where these forums were only a few years ago and where they are now. Hopefully, this downward spiral has an end in sight and things will once again head in the right direction. I was hoping that I would never have to write this post, though I know realize that I should have seen this coming. Unfortunately, the community is forced to suffer as well as you will not be privy to a great deal of information…all because of a dispute between two people…and nothing to do with hardware.

Those who wish to contact me know where to find me, and can email me at: pelly@hardocp.com

pelly,

Based on what you posted (and later removed) in the feedback thread, you've already done enough damage to your credibility. But I will not let you discredit me. So let's go over the chain of events that lead up to this point.

You send me a link to your article at HardOCP that I wasn't able to read until I got home from work.

I get home from work and read the first e-mail you sent. Then you send me a second e-mail asking if we are not posting any links to HardOCP.

I replied that we no longer post links to HardOCP and that I would make an exception since it was your article. I thought we were friends and you even reply by thanking me.

I find your post in the hardware forum saying that we are "lame" for not linking to HardOCP and contacted you about it.

You reply that the soap opera (between me and HardOCP) continues.

My only reply back to you was a quote from an e-mail that HardOCP sent me a few years ago.

You post the reply in the feedback thread thinking that it was from me when it was actually from HardOCP.

I explained that the reply I sent you was from HardOCP. Had you bothered to read it, you would have realized that it wasn't even related to our previous e-mail discussions.

And to think all this started because we won't link to HardOCP. This chain of events is sad because you don't seem to be the same person now that you were when you were at nV News.
