I'm not sure on any details, so don't ask me. Found the shots on another forum.
I hope they are real.

edit:
found some details
Battlefield 2: Modern Combat is a staple in the top Xbox Live Games for who knows how long. However, the release of an all new Battlefield title called Battlefield 2: Bad Company, could spell the end BFMC's reign.

EA hasn't released any juicy details on the game yet, much less a release date; however they did say that they are hoping to improve the single player campaign and deliver high standards of online action once more. The September issue of Game Informer also reveals what DICE's plans are for the multiplayer support for the game. They stressed that this is definitely not a renamed version of the PC title Battlefield 2142.

Battlefield: Bad Company is not only available for the Xbox 360 but to the PLAYSTATION 3 as well. Some gamers are reporting that this will come out some time Spring of 2007, with fully destructible environments and four main characters for players to use.

Thanks so much to Hummer for the tip!

I'm sure those are all ingame models, you can especially tell by the hands.

Hrmmmm, could this be one of the titles that will be using the UE3 that EA just purchaced?

The truck one sure does. Sure the background is blurred on the left side, but there are enough jaggies on the truck that if it's not ingame then the computer they used to render it has some issues

The other ones also look pretty ingame to me. Blocky hands, some flat textures, a few semi-low polygon counts... I'm actually more impressed with these shots than I would be with 100% obvious CG renders that looked amazing

Well, the models do look in-game and the ground textures(in the car shot) also, but they could be photoshopped screenshots. :o

They're no doubt touched up. ALL screenshots are touched up until about a month prior to release.

Strange that they would put aliasing in a non-ingame shot  Believe it or not but consoles can actually render nice graphics...

You would be surprised actually...

Looks impressive, and I wouldn't put it past a 360 or PS3 to crank out some ingame stuff like that.

Remember production costs are the factoring limitation at this point, this game looks quite impressive.

IGN has more on the game...
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/726/726832p1.html

"In a world that's 90 percent destructible, the gameplay possibilities are infinite -- the battlefield is always changing, forcing players, teammates, and enemies to react accordingly. Gamers will have total freedom to adapt to and tackle challenges in creative Battlefield-style ways," said a senior producer at Digital Illusions.

Hmm 90% destructible sounds like a nice change for BF games... lets see if they pull it off though.

In game scans of the 360 version. I think this is Dice next big BF and not the one coming this fall. Its also coming to the PC.

why the **** does EA licence ue3.0 when they could just use this ****, or buy the crysis engine.

Well, we haven't seen the actual game graphics yet, and I think that the ue3.0 might be a bit more *missing word*(argh can't figure out what the word is for "better suited for games since the developers can change more"(or something like that :D)). And the Ue3.0 has been proven to work on the ps3 and xbox360, since they both have GPU's that are similar to those on the pc-market. Either way, why care; it's not like you're getting a bad deal since the Ue3.0 definately isn't one of the uglier engines out there. ;)

good point, its just weird seeing EA talk all this stuff about their renderware, then go out and buy UE3.0, when they could have just asked DICE for their engine or even crytek (EA publishes battlefield and crysis right?). But your right, UE3 is an amazing engine.

Shots are doctored. I've had a 360 long enough to know it can't do those shots in realtime.

Bu Fo COUrSe cELL AND rSX can, I'm just talking about the 360.

So you think that what you see now will be the best graphics that the X360 will be able to do for the rest of its lifetime? Graphic capabilities of consoles keep getting pushed farther the longer the console has been available.

Look at the PS2, compare titles that release in its first year to titles released this year. There are titles now on it that people would never have thought possible... some that rival the Xbox (Tekken 5 for one).

I think the X360 could do these if a good developer was actually working on them, saddly EA isn't about pushing the technical limits of hardware... so I agree that they are doctored... just don't think its unrealistic later on the consoles life.

Looks promising. I always liked the BF series. Graphically though, EA should just use cryengine 2. I hope bullets have penetration. They gave us a little treat of it in BF2.

Thats what I am talking about liquid. Its about time BF got a destructable enviroment. No offense but I am getting an erection on the thought alone of a 1942 mod which sees French and other European cities destroyed by Axis and Allied fighting. Always wanted a game like that.:drooling:

Yeah it would be nice to see a game where you would be able to just blow a hole in wall if you wanted to, or maybe even level everything with the ground instead of having to take a specific route. ^^
Those shots look really good, but I'm not believing any of it until I see some gameplay vids(real ones!); I got so dissapointed with some games like motorstorm and Killzone 2(which we haven't seen in awhile). :thumbdwn:
