Every time i try to run the 1.76GB file, it locks my windows and i have to reset.I downloaded the file three times direct link-direct link-torrent and it still does not work..how can i install it?

Are you getting any error messages? Or does it just hardlock right away? What's your system specs and operating system?

no errors.just locks everything.p4 3Ghz,512RAM,fx5200. i played FEAR on this pc.

Does FEAR still play o.k.? Have you changed drivers since playing fear? If the retail game still plays fine I'd say your getting a corrupt download.

I know it's a pain but you could always try a different download source.

ok thanx i will try filefront, the problem is the file doesnt start.

I'll try this if I have trouble on anything, I didn't know you could install in safe mode.

I don't have myself, but I would guess something like "FEARMP.exe" Probably looks much the same as the icon for the retail game.

i didnt reach that point..i cant setup the file: fear_en_107.exe. there is no icon for it just the plain windows exe icon

I'm not sure what you mean by the plain windows icon, you mean what's there after the download? That should be all you need to install the game.

I just checked the site, the file name should be "fearcombat_en_107.exe" minus quotes of course. Yours just reads fear_en?
