Yeah we have some discussions about it in the "Habu" mouse thread.

Still one button on the left side?

I'm not crazy about the looks of it, but if it's more comfortable that's a plus. It looks like the MX1000 with a few changes, most noticeably for me is the thumb button looks like they simplied it. That's good cause it was a pita to use on the 1000.

One has a second scroll wheel instead of a thumb button I believe. I assume this can still be clicked like a regular scroll wheel. Would be cool to have one wheel select weapons as per usual and another for switching spells, or changing stance, light saber style?

The other mouse does have a simplified thumb button. More along the lines of the LX Laser mouse.

Personally I'm gonna keep my MX1000 and wait for a gaming version of these new mice.

EDIT: Sorry, just realised it has both the thumb buttons and a scroll wheel:o

Depending on the recharge system I may pick one of these up.

It looks freaking sweet IMO.

EDIT: Looks like both have 2 thumb buttons again!

I still prefer the shape/ergonomics of the MX500-G7.

Quit living in the past.

I think both these mice look SWEET!

I've been using a wired MX510 for a while now. Perhaps time to go back to wireless. I really wanted a G7 (is that right?) but I didnt like the fact it only had one thumb button.

This is the one!!! :D

We need some reviews on these things.

I like the MX but I'd like to see it on someones desk rather than these shots.

I hope these are more comfortable. I like my G5, but there isn't a day I wish it were about 5% bigger. My hands are too big for it and it gives me cramps after long gaming sessions. There was a week when I even went back to my Microsoft stock optical mouse.

Yeah neither mouse looks like a gamers mouse. The G7 is an always on type laser while this new mouse mentions nothing of the sort ( I would guess that since it is targeted towards office users that it will use various battery convservation techniques, which gamers don't like)

I've been posting this in evey mouse related thread here today but I just got the new BLACK G7. It's much better than the old one because the texures on the sides are similar to the G5 so it doesn't get all yucky in no time. Also, two of the specifications are slightly different. They changed something about the USB mode and also one of the physic specs was slightly better. They also updated the box to say the batter life is only about 7 hours lol.

MX Revolution is a crap. It has only 800 dpi resolution, while G5/G7 has full 2000 dpi. If you have 24" screen, 800 dpi is a very poor resolution to use, you will notice benefits of 2000 dpi immediately, ie. not only in games..

I still use an MX510 that is at least 2 years old. Works perfect for me and I don't intend to bother wasting money on anything else until it breaks. :)

That is entirly not true. Go read the reviews on this mouse and you will understand better.

I like the look of this mouse. I held one and it is the most comfortable mouse I have ever held. The construction is top notch. For instance the scroll wheel being actual metal instead of a piece of plastic just gives that sturdy feel.

But it is true that this mouse won't appeal to the professional gamers. Mostly because it is wireless and it will be a long time before wireless is accepted by professional gamers. But for those of use that do actual work on our computers like graphical programs, office, programming, etc. this mouse is awesome. I also think it is PLENTY enough for even your avid gamer.

Either way I'd wait for a price cut. Just to expensive right now.

I was looking at buying a Logitech G7 like today. Saw this, but I'm not TOO impressed. I'm more impressed by the fact that the G7 has that li-ion rechargeable battery and 2 battery pack and I'm used to my MX700 for over 3 years now, so I'm really used to the shape. It's not that expensive either (the G7).
