Ok,
I know most of you guys buy the Sennheiser Headphones, but for me, I'm constantly on Teamspeak/Ventrillo so I want a Sennhieser headset (with boom mic). I found the one I **THINK** I want. http://www.sennheiserusa.com/newsite/productdetail.asp?transid=004977

My question is where is the best place to buy Sennheiser Products? Retail? Internet? Who has the best deals?

Thanks!

**I know I could buy headphones and use a seperate mic, but I don't want to...

Amazon.com
Newegg.com
Outpost.com

I recommend just getting a nice pair of headphones such a Audio Technica A500 or Sennheiser HD555 then getting the Zalman Clip On Mic, that's what I do and it's incredible.

I use the Sennheiser PC155's for gaming. Got them at Newegg a couple of years ago. I think the ones in your link are probably overkill for gaming.

For music, Grado Labs is the way to go.

Bah, all of those "Gaming Headsets" are disgusting, with the exception of the Steel Sound 5H. Also the Zalman Clip On Mic is excellent and only costs $5-$9, just make sure the input is at 50% and the +20db boost is disabled as most users just plug it in and assume it's crappy without proper configuration

PS: With my Sennheiser HD555 + Zalman Clip On Mic, I even sleeved the two wires together, it's really nice :D

I see where you guys are going with this, but I don't want a clip on mic..I play with my shirt off **GASP**...Thats not the only reason though...I don't have AC in my computer room and it gets really hot, so I have 3 fans running at all times..this usually messes up lower end mics. That's why I'm thinking of getting the headset...it eliminates surrounding noise. I was told by an audiophile buddy that they defintely have the best headsets around (w/mic). He works for a company called Manley (uber high end audio equipment used by major recording stars that don't care if they spend 20 grand on a hand built EQ)... http://www.manleylabs.com/ If someone tells me there is a mic that can cancel out all the other noise in my room, I might think about the Sennheiser HD595 + Mic, but if not, I'm spending the money on this headset....

Now thats Hardcore...

You could make a band and wear it aound your neck to clip it on.

Although gaming shirtless and wanting a mic that cancels out all the other noise in your room... Sounds kinda suspicious.

The microphone clips onto the cable of your headphones. It's not meant to clip onto your shirt, lmao. I'll post pictures. The only reason the end of the sleeving is being held by duct tape is because I only have blue sleeving/heatshrink tubing, waiting on some black sleeving/heatshrink tubing then I'll apply that so it looks nicer.

The sound quality is great on this microphone once the input is at 50%, I have the TV, AC & Very Loud Server on and all it picks up is my voice.

Same here. Fantastic headset. The mic is perfect. When talking on Teamspeak or Ventrillo, people are amazed at how clear I sound. :)
