I have a pair of WD Raptors in Raid 0 and would like to know how i can tell if their runnig at their full potential?

I hear folks who have Nforce 4 chipsets that their is a big performance hit by installing SW IDE drivers and having NCQ enabled that i drings the drivers to a crowl or actually kills them.

I just want to know if my drives are running good for the money i spent on them. And what i need to do to make them run at their advertised speeds.

I get 218mb with the raptors and 198 with the 2 maxtor raid 0 setup
I thought the Raptors would run shotgun over the maxtor raid setup but the 2 raptors are drive c and the 2 maxtors are drive D.

I'm assuming those #'s are burst, which doesn't mean a whole lot. The AVG throughput is where the biggest diff is going to be. The Raptors should be a little over 100MBps sustained, whereas the two maxtors are probably only in the 80's. My 3 run 100MB sustained, but I am bus limited, so it would be a little faster.

I get different numbers that don't seem right at least the burst ,I have two 160G Seagate running in raid 0 ,and I get with the 8mb ,215 burst and 107.6 average read and 32mb I get 178 burst and 107.3 average read,
And on my two 80G Seagate in raid 0 with 8mb i get 334 burst and 90.3 average read and with 32mb I get 318 burst and 110 average read.
