1) Epic's Steve Polge revealed that they plan to release an Unreal Tournament 2007 demo prior to its retail debut, so they can act upon community feedback and make adjustments if needed.
We are definitely planning to release a demo long enough before we go gold to be able to incorporate feedback from the demo into our final release.

Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment, and Epic Games today announced a license agreement in which CME will use Epic's Unreal Engine 3 technology for the development of the upcoming, highly anticipated Stargate Worlds and future multi-platform games.

And map number :D

We currently have well over 40 maps in development. Some of those may be cut, but you should expect UT 2007 to ship with a comparable number of maps to past UT releases (UT2004, which had two games worth of maps excepted).

I wonder how soon we can expect a demo :) Anyone want to place any bets?

i probably won't play stargate worlds (or what ever they call it), i'm not a big fan of MMORPG genre.

unless its gonna be the best game ever created then i will.

U3 Engine MMO..might be a worth to look at..but a MMO from Stargate..i dont think so..i only thing die hard fans will probably buy it..but as for the game itself for a MMO..its not the best idea..i would much prefer they bring a single/multiplayer fps thing..after all SGA looked pretty solid till JoWood killed it.

Good to see 'em being proactive.

Release a demo early, get feedback from the customers themselves and improve the product accordingly before final shipping.

Kudos to 'em... :)

And THIS is why I'll feel good about paying full price release day! They will have EARNED it instead of me just taking a random gamble.

Yeah I think the BF2 demo worked much better than the retail game did at launch. I couldnt play that for the first month I owned it because it needed patches. :o
