like I said. I really doubt they are 14DB.. maybe at 20ft away.

You just have to try 'em and see for yourself. A little expensive but I found them to do the job and were very quiet. Been in one of my boxes since Jan '05 and except for routine cleaning have been solid...lights still work! :D

I really doubt that. Thats alot of air being moved around.

I think that is optimistic, however, I ran them outside the case against some Panaflos. There was no decernable motor noise. I could hear the fan blades moving air at two feet.
The Panaflos do have some motor noise but also have better performance and anyone who has run Panaflo 'L' fans know they are quiet.

I still have one from that build as the main fan on the back of the case. The new Pro fans are supposed to be even better.
