Hey all.
In the bios on the P5B and P5B Deluxe motherboards. In Cpu Configuration, where you disable "Intel Speedsted".
There are som "new" "weird" settings. I cant rember there name (im at work) but i hope some of you with the board can rember :)
Its the 4 settings right before Intel Speed step.
Should they be disabled or enabled?

C1E drops the CPU's multiplier and voltage to lower levels when a HLT (halt) command is issued.
Intel's Execute Disable Bit (XD) functionality can prevent certain classes of malicious buffer overflow attacks when combined with a supporting operating system. It allows the processor to classify areas in memory by where application code can execute and where it cannot. When a malicious worm attempts to insert code in the buffer, the processor disables code execution, preventing damage or worm propagation.
cant find CPU TM

So C1E is best disabled?

it should be enabled.
All it basically does it lower the processor voltage, and the multiplyer when its idle, so it uses less power and puts off less heat.
