When you have a DVD burner and it has like 5 updates for the filmware ,is it better to do one at a time or just go to the newest one and update.

I've always just gotten the latest (patches, firmware, bios, etc) UNLESS the latest specificly says not to (and give instructions on what TO do).

there no instructions just the different filmware ,but I guess if it really made a difference they would tell you to do one before the other if it was needed.

Most firmware/bios updates incorporate the past fixes you only want the latest one it is a waste of time doing otherwise and with DVD drives it is usually only newer media types they are adding anyways with the odd bug fix added in once in a while.
