Not to hijack my own thread , but i think the dumbest name for a game so far is "You Are Empty" despite how good the game might end up to be.

Awesome. I was hoping there would be a demo for this.

What's up with all the heroines in all the recent few adventure games since The Longest Journey? Can you spot a trend here? :D

I think its intended to attract female players to join the adv gaming , but for me i'd prefer a male character. Guybrush Threepwood anyone ? :D

It doesn't bother me a bit as long as they actually have personality and aren't just an empty marketing ploy with some throw-away dialog written by a stoned fifteen year old.

Indeed .. the original LJ (the original , NOT Dreamfall!) & Syberia are good exmaples where you feel you're actually living the life of a "normal" girl not some empty-minded porn star.

There are ups and downs to the dialog, but it seemed interesting enough. I'm an adventure ***** so I'm sure I'll pick it up. The backrounds were very well done and the characters seemed decent. Some of the puzzles were a bit silly though.

This is my type of game.

Use to love the horror theme ones, ala Beast Within, Phantasmagoria, 11th Hour, Harvester etc the old Sierra ones I think they were.

All I need is a gritty Leisure Suit Larry , LOL not some cartoony rubbish.

Just got around to playing the demo. This is a really well done game. :)

The puzzles are excellent. A bit unrealistic some times (which is going to happen with games like this... normal people dont go around collecting random objects :p), but they do make sense if you use a bit of brain power.

The voice work is really well done. MUCH better than many other games I've played recently. The dialog itself has some flaws and little quirks that make me think it wasnt originally written in English (ie, using the same word over and over again when it looked out of place the first time), but overall it seems to all make perfect sense.

Also, the graphics are top notch. The backgrounds are extremely well done with lots of nice details. The 3d characters are pretty good too.

It seems a little "fluffy" and not real gritty, but it looks like a good adventure game so far. The genre may not be as strong as it used to be, but with games like this coming out, its deffinitely not "dead". :)
