I'd really like to see NVIDIA come out with a new card in the Personal Cinema line. The last cards to come out were the 5200PC and 5700LE PC. It'd be great to see one based on the 7800 or 7900 core so that it could be an HTPC solution as well as a gaming solution.

Yes, like most older nerds, I'm just as interested in a card that can play and stream HD movies to my TV as well as play my games on said tv in all their HD glory. HDMI output[s] and composite would be nice, and are absolutly required and non-existant in high end gaming cards [at least HDMI]. Pretty crappy. And, HDCP I think its called, the chip and key that let you play [as in output] blue ray and HDDVD movies, just doesn't seem to be present in any card at all. Hopefully g80 will ammend this shortcoming, if not ATI will fill the gap. I hear a vacuous sucking sound in the market, A hole that is growing deeper, and both companies seem oblivious to this??? Rediculous. Media boxes are awesome, but worthless without an output[HDMI]. Anyway, I think it falls to the chip partners [BFG,XFX,Saphire,etc...] to implement these things, as both ATI and Nvidia are backstepping and pointing fingers at their partners for this lack of features and stuff, claiming they supported HDCP all along, it just wasn't implemented by their partners [thats gotta piss their partners off lol], probobly cause it cost's an extra $5 for the licence to use it. I know this was the case with ATI from reading beyond 3d news and Rage3d crap, I don't think nvidia even supports HDCP on the g70, though I am not sure. Anyway, I think what you and I are looking for is right around the corner now, The next generation cards from both companies will likely have both HDMI and HDCP support, and recent outcries will force the board partners to implement them [i dare to hope...] so just wait it out I guess.
