Wow good job nVidia. For the cost and what they do they are real winners.

Fetch I miss SLI I know I already have an 7950 GX2 but something interesting I saw with the EVGA 7950 GT KO is that the specs are to be determined. So that means well over 550 on the core. Hopefully:D.

My card runs freaking hot:firedevil and is not stable at overclocks over 552 on the core! Therefore I am very tempted to buy SLI 7950 GT and hopefully purchase at a time that I would be in the 90 day step-up to G80. Hmmmmm...if I only knew exactly when G80 will arrive.

I wonder if there is any possibility of 580 or even 600 on the core from the EVGA 7950 GT KO. Hmmmm......:D Stock overclock of course. The overclocked XFX one is set for 570 on the core. While BFG is going for 565 on the core.

TBD (To Be Determined)! How about jAkUp you determine 600 on the core and 1550 on the memory!:D

Wow. I was really wanting to hold out until G80- but my new system is screaming for a pair of cards (that is the last component left- the vcards). I'm really thinking of either getting two 7900GS or 7950GTs. I'd probably go with eVGA for thier step-up program and hope G80 came out within the 90-day period.

Then again, I could just wait till G80...

I'll leave the deciding till after I see some 7950GT reviews.

I really think we are looking at a November G80 release. If this is the case it would be nice to know when in November so that it falls within the 90 days of step-up. I suppose I could wait till the last week of september and buy a 2 7950 GT's, but hey.....I have this problem of not being able to hold out when a new card is released.:p

This is such a waste, especially when modded 7900GT's run faster than these cards do; and not to mention the G80 is coming out in a couple months.

I allready have a BFG 7900 GT/GTO 512mb, isnt that basically the same thing as the 7950GT

I suppose that it would be, although I wonder if the clock speeds will be higher with overclocked versions of the 7950 GT. I know XFX is already planning 570 on the core.

Mine runs 475/1360 default, but I have seen someone get 585/1516 overclocked, I havent tried oc'ing yet because it took me a month of troubleshooting and RMAing to get this system up and running

I'm really hoping when the 7950 GT reviews come out that they will pit 2 7950 GT's in SLI versus 1 7950 GX2. If the clocks are higher on the 7950 GT's (hopefully EVGA's KO will be clocked high;)) I would expect to see a difference in performance. The big question is how much?:p Being able to do a Step-Up to G80 would be wonderful though no matter if the 7950 GT's provide far superior performance or not.:D

:lol2: Perhaps. What can I say I'm just more particularly a video card addict, but also I know I will get more for selling my 7950 GX2 now then I will later when G80 comes out. Plus if I'm lucky I just might be able to Step-Up which to me is an awesome deal.:D
