I have this PSU: Enermax EG465P-VE

http://www3.shopping.com/xPF-Enermax_EG465P_VE_FC

...and i wonder if anyone knows if its powerful enough for a system like this:

Abit AW9D-Max
Corsair Twin2x 2048 6400c5
Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
Geforce 7950 GX2
Maxtor 200gb IDE hd
Philips DVD burner

Thanks :)

How old is it? I've been running that model (431W) or at least I think it was the same model (EG-465P-VE right? or something like that) with this setup:

Xp-M @ 2.4ghz
6800GT@400/1100
3 hdd's
2 optical drives
many fans, leds
2 sticks of ram
audigy 2
+ some other crap

According to extreme outervision site, power needed for that computer with all components in 100% use is 301W. With the CPU overclocked to 3.0ghz and GPU overclocked a bit, 360W, assuming no other PCI cards or fan controllers or fans or leds. Should be ok. Do look at the amperage on +12V rail. It should like 26-30 for a video card like that. Maybe even more for a 7950gx2.

Edit: must be a newer 465 model than the one I have. It's 460W and 33A on the +12V. It will run that e6600 and 7950gx2 fine and you should also be able to overclock no problemo.

Yes that power supply is plenty if you are just running one 7950GX2.
