I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death... but can anyone suggest me a pair of quality headphones? Perferably ones that cover the entire ear and can stand a beating.
I just dropped my current set on the hard tile and one of the cuffs completely fell off (meaning speaker as well... so they are 1/2 working now).
Price range would be < 100$
This is the 8th pair I've broken in probably 5 years (two were defective after a week so I guess those don't really count)...
edit: eek, headphones perferably with a mic too! :)

I've been using a pair of this companies HP-800V model of headphones for at least a decade now.

Best headphones I've ever used, very durable and top quality audio.

Right now I'm using a couple empty tins and some string... My Sony's died a early death. Looks like a mouse or something chewed the ear cushions. WTF?? They weren't the best headphones, but I loved them to death. Well actually it looks like the mouse loved them to death...

Yup.
I found some 595's at AUSPCMarket (http://www.auspcmarket.com.au/show_product_info.php?input[product_code]=MU-SEHD595&input[category_id]=1166)
Thinking about grabbing them. Are the 595s worth it over the 555s? It's almost $100AUD difference in price.

Depends on the media source, but I'd say absolutely.
Yea I have both 595's and 555's, the 595's are definetely better.
