Did you mean this

BenQ FP241W (BFI) High Definition :drooling:
----------------------------------* -----------------------
The FP241W (BFI) wide-screen LCD monitor features the world-leading BFI technology, a high resolution of 1920x1200 and HDMI connector. The world-leading BFI (Black Frame Insertion) Technology is the advanced technology of Advanced Motion Accelerator (AMA) Technology. By using BFI Technology, the spatial-temporal integration can effectively reduce the ghosting effect caused by the slow pursuit and low pass effect of the human eyes thus provides clearer motion pictures.

The FP241W is the first monitor of its kind with a HDMI connector worldwide. HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) TM technology is the latest digital technology to connect set top boxes such as PS3 in an efficient and easy way whilst carrying HD audio and video signals in one single cable.

900$ hurts a little..... im still looking at the dell thoe. if i can find a coupon for some cash off the dell, im there. right now i can get the dell for 720$ shipped without any coupons.

For me (in Ireland) the BENQ is quite a bit cheaper than the DELL 2407 plus it also has a HDMI port, so when I buy an Xbox 360 next year I can hook it up and relish the HD goodness...:D
Maybe you meant the PS3 because the Xbox 360 has no HDMI connectivity (analog only).

i did notice that the benq has a much better viewing angle then the dell...can anyone comment on this?

But at least couple online merchant are already selling them, or taking orders?

TigerDirect.ca (http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=2357645&sku=B145-FP241W%20CA) $949.99 CAD
"Availability: Usually ships within 24 Hours" with TigerDirect the shipping is always big question.
Strange I could not search the monitor on TigerDirect US site

NCIX.com (http://www.us.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=19235&vpn=FP241W&manufacture=BENQ&nocookie=1&membership=0) $855.00 USD

That review is pretty bland. I'd like to see Anandtech get a hold of one of these.

Well you might wait for a long time to see the monitor reviewed by AnanTech or maybe it's about time they do one.
AnanTech did not do any display review for over a one year, the last one was on July 8th, 2005

Actually I like the Tom'sHardware display reviews, they did few displays on July 3, 2006
Tom's reviews always involve lots of testing. Many other review site just repeat what they read in the release spec manuals.

BeHardware (http://www.behardware.com/) is also not to bad site for monitor reviews, they might even do the new BenQ review soon.

The best is to check the forums where the actual users are reporting they own experience with the monitor use.
For example the "Official BenQ FP241W Thread" (http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1066372) at HardForum, might be a good place to start, somebody already purchased the new Benq there and is waiting for delivery.

I did find at HardForum (http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1098283) a link to very much detailed BenQ 24" review. It has 17 pages with many pictures and color benchmarks.
Only one problem, it's in Chinese.
At hard forum they used the Yahoo BABEL FISH translator and the review is not to easy to read, I Guess it's even harder with my broken English. :)
Anyway I did try the Google "Chinese (Simplified) to Eglish BETA" translation and think it's little better.

So here it is "BenQ FP241W Chinese Review Google Translated" (http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fit.flash920.com%2Ff%2Fdiy %2F069%2F4%2F319982.htm&langpair=zh-CN%7Cen&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools), at least to me it doesn't look Chinese any more. :)

Maybe to soon to say but I believe the BenQ FP241W is going to be better monitor than the Dell 2407WFP.
After all BenQ is manufacturing both of the monitors and should have learn were Dell made the mistakes or cut the corners.
Dell might need couple more revisions to get there.

Well, if this monitor turns out to be the LCD shiznit (which I'm hoping it will) I'm willing to spend the $900 to buy one.
