7950gx2 + Windows x64

Hey guys,

I just got my new eVGA 7950GX2 last night from Newegg. I had some issues installing it on my A8V-E deluxe due to the SATA cable being in the way, but i resolved this.

Setup:

A8V-E Deluxe (Bios 1012)
Athlon 64 4000+
eVGA 7950GX2 (91.47 from nvidia)
2GB Corsair DDR PC3200
2x 36GB Raptor
SB x-fi fatal1ty
Windows x64

I'm having a few concerns. I'll state them in numbered format so it's easier to read:

1) DXDIAG, 3DMark06 and SiSoft Sandra indicates that I only have 512mb of Video memory and my 3dmark score was only 5700 (kind of low, right?). Is only one GPU being utilized? Multi-GPU is selected in the Nvidia CP, as well as Single-Display performance

2) Every program shows that my drivers are not WHQL'd. Strange? Do you guys recommend a driver for my system with x64?

3) World of Warcraft with 1600x1200 and full aniostropic yields low framerate. Feels kinda choppy at times too. Averages around 50 fps in non-populated zones.

512 Mb is correct. It shows the memory that each GPU has on its card, not the total. Since you have a single core CPU (2.4 GHz) and it's not OCed, those 3DMark06 scores are about right. You can check this by looking at the component scores in 3DMark06. I would bet that your CPU score is around 1000 or less.

If you are using a driver with a modified INF file, it will not show WHQL certification. 91.48 WHQL comes with the support for most cards, so if you are really concerned about this issue, you can uninstall 91.47 and install 91.48. I wouldn't, unless I was unhappy with the driver.

At least we can see how your SM2/3 scores compare then..
