So I got a message today when I turned on my computer informing me that my beta driver for my X-fi Fatal1ty is expiring next Friday (the 22nd). Anybody know of a new beta driver that's coming out to replace it? I tried Google but it didn't seem to bring up anything...

Right now I'm using 2.09.0001.

Thanks everybody!

Is there anything remarkable about these drivers that I should upgrade from the ones that came with the card when I bought it last December? I have had absolutely no problems whatsoever with these drivers and Creative's are always a pain to upgrade/reinstall.

Damn, these drivers have been working well... I really dont want to reinstall them.

I wonder why I havent gotten that message though.

I got the message today. I wish they didn't make their drivers expire like that. If I'm happy with a beta, seems like they should let me continue using it.

Thats why they are called creative. They find the most creative ways to subtly piss you off.

Its strange, the majority of the problems I've had with creative drivers in the past have been installation problems.

Of all companies, why the hell would Creative make you install things more than you have to? If it works, let us use it so we dont have to risk blowing up our systems by trying to reinstall your software. :|

If this was nvidia, I wouldnt really care... I rarely (if ever) have any problems with them. But with creative, its a 50\50 chance that my system will get screwed up and I'll have to spend all day trying to fix it.

Elite Pro can use SAME drivers (2.09.0001). It's just not officialy supported as it has problems with Cubase on Elite Pro. But if you don't use Cubase you should be just fine.

Is it official or beta? And is there a list of changes?

you would think with all the time between driver releases they would come up with something by now, what are the creative driver teams doing with there time?
