What happened to HDR lcds? I thought they were suposed to be out by now with led back lights.

Only seen that one HDR display some time back.. the BrightSide thing..

Didnt realise they were due to out for homeuser market so soon..

I think they're going to be massproduced in 2008. :) That's at least what I'm hoping for! :D The weird part is why no one has taken advantage of it yet, since it's supposed to work with any kind of panel technology? You'd still need the external encoder, though, for making regular movies play in HDR which might be expensive, but I assume there are many out there who would be ready to pay for such a device. :) True-HDR gaming is going to ROCK!! (nana2)

What happened to HDR lcds? I thought they were suposed to be out by now with led back lights.HDR? Are u refering to LED BLU (Back Light Unit) (http://download.divx.com/labs/Video/Cebit06/CeBITvideo-com_2006_SamsungLED_divxhd.avi), used by the new upcoming Samsung 24" LCD 245T?

but the price is scary
