Thanks! 10k would be nice, but probably isn't realistic. Games run great also.
Surprised this $75 ASRock mobo runs 2.5 at stock vcore.
:)

anyone else got one of these cards?

I don't have the same card, but we have a very similar score so I thought you might be interested to see it. "I wish I had your CPU". :)

Sweetness dude
You should definetely pickup a 3800 for $150.
Mine runs 2.5@stock vcore on my Asrock 939SLI32 mobo, you should get equal or better.
I noticed however that when i clocked 2.0 to 2.5 then ran 3dmark05 i only got like 100-200 point increase. But when I oced video card, netted about a 1500 point increase.

You should really mod your card, it's so simple and takes not even 1 minute to complete. I got 700/1800 out of my card :D Almost double core speed! I get about 11,000 in 3DMark 05, and around 6,000 in 06.

Is this kind of sure thing on any 7900GT card or is it specific to certain cards only? Any more details on that, is the overclock stable and is any special cooling required? Sometime people have different interpretation what is stable, for me stable means no games crashing at all.
Right now I'm mainly playing Oblivion and NFS-Most wanted.

I have BBG 7800 GTX OC by factory and little by me and my 3DMark05 is 9152 and 3DMark06 is 4679, the free Futuremark let me publish only one figure. :thumbdwn:

Anyway I like to buy a new widescreen monitor at least 1080p so for sure I would also need a new graphic card or go SLI.
The problem is my BBG 7800 GTX OC still cost little over $400.00 new, (crazy) for old card.
Other solution was to get used one at eBAY at about $200.00 not bad for SLI.

Now when I read this maybe I'm better off selling my card and get the 7900GT, at least yours 3DMarks would agree with that.

I don't think any overclocking mod like this exist for my card?

Also is the 7900GT 512MB overclocking as well or is it better in that case to buy the 7900GTX

Very nice scores! Specially from a $200 card. Hard to beat that.
