I think it is neat when people try stuff like this- but ultimately what is the point? Most people here would never be able to accomplish what they did. Did you guys notice the cooling implemented? How many people here use their main computer without a computer case? How many here can afford and have the know-how to implement the cooling they used?

Nice to see such results are possible, but not easily achievable.

But I must ask- why was that board cancelled?

Basically I beleive it is because the overclocks on the C19 chip sucked so they are going for a release with the much better C55 chip.:D

Because the FSB blows. 330MHz is not impressive in the least.

Jakup's right, the Cancelled board would have been great for anyone with the Core 2 Extreme but would have been a huge let down and disappointment for anybody using the other Core 2 Duo's with thier "Locked" Multi's. I think we should be glad that DFI, and I suspect ASUS, heard the uproar from the Enthusiast/Gaming Community when the Facts were leaked that they were going to incorperate the NF4 C-19 Northbridge instead of the real deal Crush 55IE NB, which was the actual NF5 590 Spec. Sure, We have had to wait longer, I am still waiting for parts anyways. But I think it will be well worth the wait if We can end up with getting a board the will reach a 450MHz to 500MHz Front Side Bus. (nana2) 600MHz FSB would be a GOD SEND!:D

Might as well pick up a quad core quadro in November while waiting for the C55 boards.

Does anyone know if the upcoming NF5 590 chipset boards will be able to handle DDR2 1000 or even DDR2 1100 memory speeds @ 500Mhz+?

Reason I'm asking is because I have some sweet G.Skill DDR21000 which my current board (ASUS P5N32-SLI SE NF4) will not run faster than 470Mhz.

Well your board really was only designed for 667MHz, upcoming boards should be able to handle higher frequencies without issues.

Did someone say 600 FSB? Well when they are done with the server swap, see below:

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=114908

That's the second revision of 965 doing a perfectly stable 602 FSB. I believe it's VictorWang with a 2mb chip doing a 14sec superPi 1m time using just a 6 x multi @ 602, if I remember correctly. I only saw it for a few secs before the forum was down.

I'll assume he's using an ASUS P5B Deluxe, correct?
