Newegg expects the Abit AW9D-MAX in a couple of days and after viewing the pictures, I am convinced a SLI bridge is included.

Any thoughts?

There have been rumors to that effect, but no one seems to know for sure if SLI will be supported on Intel chipsets.

I'd love to have SLI on Intel chipsets, simple because of the reliability of Intel's chipsets has been far superior to anything else in my experience.

not any time soon, Intel unfortunetly currently is still tied down by ATI contract.

at the moment ATI allows crossfire on all chipsets, SLI nVidia only time is over!
i have choosen an intel chipset for my core 2 duo > ASUS P5WDG2 WS Pro
and never rued it, the chipset is by far better than my old (sound crackling, wrong pci timing) nForce 4 crap.
using the modded Forceware driver i got with my 2 stock running 7900GTX 10189 3dmark06 points. (nana2)
