Seems I have encountered a problem in the Black Hawk Down single-player demo with CAT 3.1. Single player works perfectly fine, but whenever I go into a multiplayer game I get very bad stuttering. I can't seem to figure it out. Any ideas to why it is stuttering online, and not in the single-player mission?
Also, I get random lock-ups in CFS3 STILL, after 3 driver revisions, and 3.1 Patch....
One last thing, does anyone know if the Zalman Heatpipe will fit on an R9700 if it already has TweakMonster Ramsinks on the RAM. They are on there permanently too.

I play alot of CFS3 online and I get lockups left and right. It's not your card because the same stuff happened to me before I upgraded from a GF2 to my Rad9500. The game code is buggy.

I have no problems with bhd demo. In fact it is the best water I have ever seen in any game.
Let me know if you have any configuration settings you would like me to check for you ...
I am running a radeon 9700 pro with windows xp sp1, cat3.1, and directx9.
I am using an abit nf7-s, and a athlon running at 2049mhz.

running like silk here too.
Still have an a7m266? I ditched mine as soon as I could. No multiplier dipswitch sucked.
Something in the bios probably.

I fixed the no multiplier problem on my A7M266 creed-> Can you say, "Golden Socket"? Now that I'm no longer using the A7M266, the Golden Socket is in its little box, gathering dust in one of my cabinets, probably never to be used again. :(

Tried everything I can imagine. Guess it's time for a new mainboard. Any suggestions? I prefer Asus.

I have the abit NF-7s I bought it over the asus for the 3phase power and the fact that I can return it. I can't even get a hold of asus to return a defective A7V8X that I have.
you should be good with either.
