Linux 8.0 with latest Nvidia drivers
ASUS A7N8X Deluxe
AMD Athlon 2100
ATI Radeon 7500 64 MB
80 Gig Maxtor IDE
Norcent CDR
PC 2700 DDR 512 M
Have two questions:
1) When I try to update my BIOS to the latest available (1002) the AWDFLASH.EXE complains that the file size does not match! The size of the current BIOS file that is dumped ( for backup) is 256k and the size of the file I am trying to update with (a8nB1002.bin) is 256K. If I still try to update AWDFLASH.EXE just freezes up. What am I doing wrong?
2) The computer boots up stable (for days) only when I clear the CMOS by turning off the power and using the jumpers to clear it and then booting. If I boot without doing this I can get the OS to crash on the simplest of commands ( compile anything). I am replacing the CMOS battery tomorrow. Any other reason why this should happen?
THANKS!
