View Full Version : DX10 cards in the hands of developers....finally!
This might be old news, but it was the first time I've heard anyone from MS state that they actually have DX10 hardware to use;

Scan down the page and you will read Adam Szofran (Flight Simulator 10 developer) state;
"...We finally got a few engineering samples of DX10 cards in the office this week..."

That has to be G80 cards, it great to hear them received engineering samples. G80 should be in full production in October next month for November launch. :D
i think its been known for the last few months that curtain devs have had dx10 hardware on hand.
Yea, hopefully we can see some real time DX10 demos soon :D

I'm pretty sure ATI handed some R600's under the table to Crytek.
I remember reading that MS was using ATI hardware on FS for DX10.
Yeah MS have R600 cards heck they have had them for some time BUT they are noway near the clock speeds of when they hit retail.

Interesting...I can't wait until I can play with a Direct3D10 compatable card. Of course, I'll have to wait for some crippled AGP D3D10 card that costs the same as a much faster PCI-E card :(
You will be lucky to get a DX10 AGP card due to the use of DX10 and makes higher use of the PCI-Epress buss as such AGP will choke.

Actually, I think the first DX10 cards available to developpers were Intel chips.... the GMAX3000.
