I am get bored easily with gear and am switching to an E6600 to go for that magical 4.0GHz clock. I figured I'd offer the E6400 to you fellows here @ NV first, then it's going on flea bay.
BTW the 3.7GHz is on air with 1.525v. I have no idea what this thing can do under water or phase.
I am asking 170 usd. It's a retail chip.

I'm very interested in this. UNfortunatly, I have never worked with ebay or anything like that. It is such a great price, It'll sell fast on ebay. Although, I suppose you'll be selling it for higher on there?

Honestly I am not sure. I may just keep it as a back up.

I don't mean to take this off track but how hot does your CPU run at idle/peak at 3.7Ghz?
3.7GHZ 100% stable in orthos? if yes, screenies?

Here's the last bench I've run lately. It's single threaded too so it's not showing the full push of the CPU. It's available here:

I haven't bothered with hours of Orthos and have played many hours of EQ2 and Oblivion. It's perfectly stable for that and of course normal operation.
Oh and @ Bearclaw:
P5B is way off on proper temp reporting as I hear it and I haven't bothered with installing Asus probe. I'd get worried and check up on all of that if I had random rebooting or freezing. Haven't had that unless I go for 3.76GHz or higher.

actually Asus Probe is only about 3-4 degree off compared to TAT or CoreTemp

It's no biggie.
Most e6400s are around 223usd now. I am sure someone will want the chip on flea bay for 170usd.

I was just curious. No biggie.

Amazing that nobody has jumped on this. I have this same CPU and at a very moderate overclock of 2.45 I'm getting results that beat the AMD 62 and Intel 6600 stock. If I weren't flat broke, I would get it to upgrade my girls' PC at that price.
Best of luck Malficar.

Couple of added notes.
The CPU was bought on 08-08 and I got it on around 08-15 so it is hardly old. It has a pack date of 7-23. It is B2 stepping 6 and has a batch number beginning L624A.
I am also selling the P5B Deluxe Wifi for 150usd. It shipped from ClubIT on 8-17 and I paid 205usd for it.
So both items are a good bit less than two months old from purchase and ship date.
@ Stoneyguy
Thank you.
BTW, I will be working on my E6600|i975x setup most of Friday so don't be surprised if I do not answer PMs til Saturday.
