Another AMD Roadmad, this one according to DAILYTECH (http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=4422) is leaked by AMD to the press.
No processors based on 65nm process this year as previously reported on some others not so official roadmaps.
First 65nm processors in Q1'07 and only on the lower rank up to X5000+ CPUs
Q4'06- NEW Athlon 64 X2 5400+ 89W, 5600+ 89w and 6000+ 125W.
WOW 125W, looks like AMD is now chasing higher performance with clock speed and resulting in much more wattage use and I'm sure heat. Intel use to do the same when behind AMD.
Q4'06 Introduction of new line Socket-F FX (FX 2-P) 125W processors for AMD's 4x4 platform for enthusiasts and gamers. Apparently AMD's temporary answer to Intel soon coming quad-core Kentsfield.
BIG maybe and my guess, the 4x4 might be faster than the coming Intel Kentsfield, ONLY when 2 FX CPU's used but the cost is going to be about double. Who is going to buy that.
