If I were to get a 7950 now.. do you think i would be able to step-up to the G80? Provided it came out in three months?

Oh.. and how is the 7950 in reguards to vsync and stuffs... it seemed that when i had 7800 sli.. vsync was an issue.. and without vsync it is useless to me.

I dont see why you could'nt stepup, unless eVga cans the program.:(
Actually it's a great idea, i've stepped up in the past from 2x6800GTX to 2x7800 GTX. Went well, only i got screwed by UPS Canada (as always!:thumbdwn: ) on various "handling" fees. FWIW, i have no VSync issues with FW 91.48

Coo.. thanks for the reply.

Its just a bit of a gamble i guess.. I definately want the G80 so I figure ill sell my XTX now( and get a bit more than selling it later), by a GTX or GX2... and then step up. But if i can't step up.. it would be teh sux...

I wish i could afford to get a G80 right when it comes out, but I got college to prepare for. I will probably get me a nice laptop that plays games.

Step-Up is not a program they are about to get rid of.;)

Don't forget though guys, they limit the cards you can setup to. When I submitted my setup the GTX, GX2 and GTO are not aval for setup.
Just give them a call. I wouldn't expect the G80 to be aval for the first few months.

Vsync sucks with SLi. Even with it on, sometimes your screen will still split in pieces, and SLi will also double-buffer in DirectX and cut your framerate in half by running it.

If you like to vsync + triple-buffer, don't go SLi, because it's impossible.
