Actually, I was hired under the conditions that I'd be on the load crew. I was told atleast 30 to 35 hours a week. So far, I've spent the majority of my 8 mos. there as a sales associate. And the only reason I've been a sales associate is cause when I do load they only give me like 15 hours a week. Recently they put me back on load full time. But I looked at the schedule for next week and the week after that and I'm only scheduled for two days those two weeks.

Oh, and I have plenty of job security. My dad needs somebody to be a full time tech on his second van. If I go back to working for my dad, I'll be getting atleast 5 hours a week overtime- and he pays me $0.25/hr more than what I'm getting at staples.

I'm supposed to be on the load crew at Staples. But they keep jacking around with my hours and other crap. It is getting annoying. If they could just give me the position I was originally hired for, at the hours they promised me, I'd be happy. I have nothing against the actual job itself. It is the management I have problems with.

but do you really want to work for your dad? my dad wants me to work for him, he's in the construction business (power stations) and i dont want to....working for family is a major pain in the ass

I always have the option of going back to working for my dad. And I'd always be getting over time if I did that, and my old man would be paying me more an hour than what I get at staples. The problem is, I've done that kind of work all my life. I'm trying to get away from it.
